Project Progress... and lack thereof

Well, looks like a lot of us (myself included) have dropped the ball on this one. Various things have been stepping in the way (computer trouble/car trouble/general stress). This project isn't getting finished any time soon, definately not by summer.

But we HAVE made some progress, and I hate to throw that out the window.

It looks like this might become a long-term, long-distance project if we continue. What is everyone's thoughts on this? Are you still willing to work on this, in your free time (whenever that may be) or do you think this is a loosing battle? If we can't get it together for a video project, maybe a comic project or something of that sort would be doable...?

I know everyone is freaking out about finals and stuff now, but would any body like to work on this during the summer/next semester/next year?

Take a second to respond if you can.

Why so serious?

Officially Off the Project

(Posted here since I'm still unable to log in to the board.)

Due to time constraints cropping up both with schoolwork (my film class is way behind schedule, meaning everyone (14 people) is trying to film at once (with three cameras), as well as reduced time to shoot), and also personal problems (such as the fact that I lose insurance on my birthday, two Monday's from now, and therefore I'm scrambling to try and have my wisdom teeth out over the Spring Break) are conspiring to prevent me from having the time to contribute to this project. I'm very sorry that this is all happening now, and I'm also sorry that I have to back out. I simply cannot guarantee availability that adheres to the current schedule goals; as it is, I'll be busy 'till May.

You are completely free to use any ideas, etc., that I may have contributed during the pre-production phase for this project, and I wish you all the best of luck.

Spring Break?

I made a post about this a week ago but only Katie replied. Also, I've disabled admin approval for user registration on the board. A couple of people said they weren't able to activate their accounts when it was in place.

Spring Break's coming up and presents a golden opportunity to get work done on the parody project. Ideally, we'll have the entire script drafted by then and can start doing read-throughs and the first wave of revisions by the start of the Break. Once those are done we can move on to recording the voice work. Additionally, it's an excellent time to get timestamps almost-if-not-completely finished, provided some of them have already been completed before then.

Of course, this depends on whether or not enough of us are still in town--- and more importantly, willing--- to spend a good chunk of that week off to focus on the project. I understand a few of you are going to be going on a trip early on in the break, but if you're going to be available to work on the project we need to know soon.

harder better faster stronger

So a few one person has expressed interest in me demonstrating just how to use some of the editing programs this Saturday. It has also been pointed out that between a DVD ebeelove has and some things I downloaded, we now have several "regular" episodes of Queer Eye to watch. And what better idea than to consolidate the two into a single day?

Swing by yon Embassy this Saturday afternoon around... oh, 3pm for viewings and tech stuff. Viewings first, probably, then tech stuff. Those of you who want to help timestamp Paradise Kiss, bring a blank DVD (+R or -R) and I'll burn you the softsubs.

Takin' care of business

So I'm getting the general consensus that meeting up on Saturday to watch an ep or so of Queer Eye will work out for enough people. sparklebiscuit wanted to have people over for Guitar Hero 2 later on; I'm guessing, say, 8pm, so maybe the parody group could swing by around 6pm or so. That'd give us time to watch an episode, possibly two, as well as discuss some more plans for the project. I'd say it's most important for those who want to be involved with writing the script to attend, but if you're involved in the project, stop on by!

If you guys want to order pizza, that's up to you to sort out; this time around I'll be preparing my own food.

Queer Eye: DURRRR

So... uh... on top of only getting feedback from two people, I forgot to actually set up a showing to see the Queer Eye this past Sunday. >_> When during this next week works for you guys?

Mr. Jon, weren't you going to invite people over for Guitar Hero 2 this Saturday? Maybe the Parody group could meet up before then and watch Queer Eye. Thoughts?

Rick got me a copy of a Queer Eye episode or two. We should watch it. When works for you guys?
